About Us

OutVote is building a renewed culture of civic engagement in the Gen-Z LGBTQ+ community.

Here’s how we turn that work into action:

OutVote Fellowship

We recruit and train LGBTQ+ and allied young organizers to share voting information, register voters, and bring civic engagement into their communities.

OutVote Action

We partner with and fund local organizers to lead voter registration and political education in their communities.

OutVote Research Program

OutVote Research Program

We study how Gen Z LGBTQ+ people think about politics, what motivates them to vote, and what gets in the way.

Our Vision

OutVote envisions a world where all young LGBTQ+ Americans are civically engaged to build a more participatory democratic system.

How OutVote Began

OutVote co-founders Isaac and Ranen met as undergraduate Point Scholars in 2020. During the 2024 election cycle, they kept coming back to a challenge they both saw in their communities: many young queer and trans people were losing faith in electoral politics.

They knew this disengagement could shape elections for years to come. So they founded OutVote around a simple idea: give LGBTQ+ young people the support to organize their own communities, and civic participation can look different.

OutVote Today

Alongside founding team members Jo, Jenna, Camille, and Armando, Isaac and Ranen launched OutVote’s pilot program during the 2024 election cycle. Together, they tested new approaches to mobilizing Gen-Z LGBTQ+ voters through peer networks and digital organizing.

Since then, OutVote has reached millions of young LGBTQ+ voters nationwide. We’re building a community where queer and trans young people are represented in our democracy and have a role in shaping its future.
